Studio BeeBeeCherry – Visual development of educational game for children, Gigi’s ABC Adventure

14 January 2026

At Studio BeeBeeCherry, we approach educational projects with the same rigor applied to any complex digital product: a clear concept, precise execution, and long-term visual coherence.Gigi’s ABC Adventure is a strong example of how we combine illustration, animation, and game design to meaningfully support children’s learning.

Project Context

Gigi’s ABC Adventure is an educational game for children, focused on:

  • learning the English alphabet

  • associating letters with animals

  • exposure to correct English pronunciation with an Australian accent

The game was designed as a learning-through-play experience, where visual and audio elements work together to create a clear, intuitive, and engaging environment for young users.

Studio BeeBeeCherry’s Role in the Project

For this project, Studio BeeBeeCherry handled the complete visual development, including:

  • visual concept and UI/UX

  • illustrations

  • character design

  • in-game animations

All graphics were created entirely as vector artwork in Adobe Illustrator, allowing for:

  • scalability without loss of quality

  • consistent visuals across different screen sizes

  • efficient optimization for game implementation

Animation Process

Animation was developed in Adobe After Effects, using a hybrid approach:

  • frame-by-frame animation for expressive, organic details

  • bone-based (rigging) animation for smooth, reusable movements

This combination allowed us to balance natural character motion with technical efficiency, ensuring both visual quality and performance.

Visual Style and Art Direction

The art direction was tailored specifically to the target audience:

  • vector-based cartoon style

  • simple, legible shapes

  • a clean, controlled color palette

Characters and environments were designed to support visual learning, avoiding unnecessary complexity or distractions. Every element serves a functional purpose, not merely an aesthetic one.

Auditory and Visual Learning

The structure of the game is built around two core learning components:

  • visual learning – associating letters with characters and clear animations

  • auditory learning – correct pronunciation, concise sound cues, and consistent audio feedback

Together, these elements help children understand and retain information naturally, without pressure.

International Collaboration

The project was developed in collaboration with Simone Cardoso, the initiator and owner of the game, based in Australia. What began as a client relationship evolved into a long-term collaboration and friendship.

Simone defined the educational direction and structure of the game, while Studio BeeBeeCherry translated that vision into:

  • visual identity

  • illustration

  • animation

The project has grown steadily over several years, developed carefully step by step.

Conclusion

Gigi’s ABC Adventure is the result of a considered, long-term creative process, where design is treated as a functional tool rather than decoration. For Studio BeeBeeCherry, this project reflects our core approach: clarity, consistency, and attention to detail—whether applied to branding, illustration, or educational game design.

For those interested in similar projects or visual development for educational products, Gigi’s ABC Adventure stands as a clear reference of how we work.
